It began with the opening ceremony on the 10th floor of the UTM rectorate building. The event started with a lively speech, accompanied by the traditional Madura headgear called "odheng," the distribution of souvenirs, and closed with a group photo.
The next event was the provision of material about mangrove planting on the 5th floor of the rectorate building, which was filled by UTM marine faculty lecturers. Not only did they get material about mangroves, but they also played games that smelled of mangroves and also the types of mangroves that exist.
After receiving information about mangroves, the next activity was lunch on the same floor. The lunch menu for the day was "nasi serpang," a traditional Madura dish consisting of various side dishes such as tuna, "kerrang" (seashell), "serundeng" (fried grated coconut), and "krupuk peyek" (peanut brittle crackers) that served with sambal.
The final agenda of the day was mangrove planting in Labuhan village, Sepuluh Bangkalan sub-district. In there, the participants planted mangroves based on the earlier information provided. Afterwards, they took a group photo to mark the completion of the EJX WAEJUC event at UTM.
