On September 21, 2023, UniversitasTrunojoyo Madura (UTM) organized a Job Fair event attended by 21 leading companies from various industry sectors. The Job Fair took place at the main campus of UTM with the aim of facilitating meetings between students and company representatives, providing students with the opportunity to establish direct connections with the workforce.
The Job Fair event commenced at 08:00 AM with a welcome address by the head of LP3MP UTM, Dr. Kurniayati Indahsari, emphasizing the importance of career opportunities for students and the benefits of direct interactions between students and companies. After a welcoming address, the students from various study programs at UTM were invited to meet directly with the representatives of the participating companies.
The company representatives delivered brief presentations about their company profiles, available career opportunities, as well as the criteria and requirements for joining their companies. Students were also given the chance to ask questions regarding job scopes, company culture, and potential career development opportunities in the future.
In addition to the presentation sessions, the Job Fair included various interactive activities such as direct interview sessions and CV submissions for students interested in the job opportunities offered. Participating students had the opportunity to submit their CVs directly to company representatives, who would then schedule further interview sessions.
The Job Fair was attended by over 500 students from various faculties and study programs at UTM. Students showed high enthusiasm in interacting with the companies, asking relevant questions, and expressing their interest in the various career opportunities available.
The event concluded with a closing session and announcements regarding internship opportunities and job training offered by some companies. UTM also emphasized the importance of networking and developing interpersonal skills for students to prepare them well for entering the competitive job market.
Through this Job Fair event, it is expected that UTM students gain better insights into career opportunities in the job market, expand their professional networks, and have the chance to start a successful career after graduating from the university.
